Incorrect material selection: Choosing inappropriate or low-quality materials can compromise strength and longevity.
1) We are suggesting the suitable materials for RCC such as grade of concrete, and for steel structures FE-250 for rolled sections, stiffener plates and gusset plates, FE-350 for Built-up sections, Grade of bolts such as 8.8,10.9,12.9 depends on the design requirement.
2)Poor reinforcement detailing: Inadequate or misplaced reinforcement can lead to cracking or failure in concrete elements.
1)To avoid inadequate reinforcement in RCC, we are giving minimum reinforcement for all RCC element as per the codal standards.
2)To ensure proper reinforcement detailing in RCC, we are giving cross section and longitudinal section detail wherever required for better understanding. And also we are clearly mentioning the spacing of reinforcement wherever required.
